They have reddish-brown stems with glossy green leaves. Other names of Portulacaria Afra include porkbush and spekboom. They start out as a small bush and eventually grow tree-like. The stem gets thicker over time as the plant matures. These plants are very easy to grow and propagate. They are hardiest in USDA zones 9-11. They grow upright horizontally.
